ARC Health & Wellness Community

The Association of Retail and Consumer Professionals

History

In 2012 the “Retail Dietitians Business Alliance” (RDBA) was created by Phil Lempert as a professional organization dedicated to supporting retail dietitians and promoting their role within the retail industry. Lempert met with a group of dietitians and retail business leaders to scope out the needs and desires for this emerging group to enhance their business skills and expertise and forge a career path within retail.

It quickly became clear that the most important focus for RDBA was fostering connections and collaboration between retail dietitians and the retail industry. RDBA’s mission and focus emerged to develop resources, networking opportunities, and educational materials to help retail dietitians enhance their skills, stay updated on industry trends, and contribute to the overall health and wellness goals of their shoppers.

In 2022 RDBA was acquired by The Association of Retail & Consumer Professionals to build on the foundation of the organization and further expand the offerings to not just retail dietitians, but all health and wellness professionals.
